That was me then....

So Tesa and I have had some plans to have a life changing event for a couple of weeks and today was the day!!!! We went to Zen's Hair Salon in Azle and got our hair CHOPPED off!!!

This was my hair before....it took me 2 years to get it this long....

This was my final result! I was pretty happy with it but I guess I'll have to wait and see how it looks when I style it...especially without a blow dryer!!!

Family Time

On Saturday I met up with my sister Heather, her husband Rob and three kids Aleksia, Cooper and Ella (three of the CUTEST kids in the world)!!!!! We watched a dinosaur movie in 3-d at Thanksgiving Point and it was a lot of fun. I enjoy spending time with my family because I feel like I've missed a lot in the years I've been in Texas. Hopefully one day they'll remember that I am their favorite aunt and would watch them whenever I could!!!!! This was a sandcastle that was there, nothing spectacular but just an excuse to get a picture with Aleksia and Cooper!!

On Sunday we had an awesome bbq at my parent's house and a lot of the family was able to come. Robbie's dad and grandparents were there and both sets of my grandparents were there and also my other grandma plus my sisters anyone else I forgot. I'm not sure what Aleksia was doing but she just sat way out on the grass with her baby just by herself!! Little kids can just entertain themselves so easily. Sometimes I wish I were that young again to not have to have a worry in the world!!
Isn't he sooo cute??? He's always so happy and always smiling and he gave me lots of good hugs while I was there! My sister and brother-in-law always have the cutest kids! They seriously could be on the cute kids competion and for sure win!!! I think they're eyes are gorgeous. They're like a dark dark brown! Anyways, I'm sure you don't want to hear my ramblings on my nieces and nephews!

After we ate a delicious meal we got an awesome game of volleyball going!! I think we played like 4 games. I think that we lost every game (does that have anything to do with me being on the team???) I sure hope not. But that's one of the things I wanted to do most was to make sure Robbie was able to experience a family volleyball game and enjoy it. There was a lot of laughter and jokes and just good times!!!






This is Ella. She's one of the happiest babies I've ever met. It was funny because when my brother Jeff would talk she would just light up and get a huge smile on her face. I don't know if it's cuz he has a deep voice or what but it was so cute.

So anyways, I had a good time with my family and Robbie's family. On Monday Robbie, his uncle Rich and me went fishing to a lake in Grantsville and didn't get one bite!! Man it was a bummer. I sure wish we would've caught something. Oh well. We drove up a canyon and they were both able to shoot a 22 for a little bit and I think Robbie really enjoyed that. I still just wish that we would've caught a fish!!
Later that day me, Robbie, Robbie's dad and my mom went and saw Ironman and it was better than I thought it would be. I still just really enjoy the chic flics and would prefer those over the action ones but oh well.
Then we went out that night with one of my mission companions and really good friend, Lisa. It was quite a fun night. I think overall the trip was exhausting. I don't know for sure why but it was. I think it took me like 2 minutes every night to fall asleep which was good. I love seeing family and hanging out with them. It was good to hang out with Robbie's family some more and get closer to them as well!!! I just wish that when you come back from vacation you have like a day or two to recoup!!! Oh well.

(Just a little sidenote.....Robbie and my anniversary is on Monday!!! That's just crazy to think that we've been married 2 years!!! Wow it seems just like yesterday that we got married. I'm sure people who have been married like 10 or 15 years are like 2 years is nothing....it just is kinda crazy!!!!)

AMERICAN IDOL PARTY!!!

Dani singing her RESPECT song for us. She didn't do it for very long but it was still funny. She acts like she's all bashful and stuff but she's really not. We played the slapping hand games for like 20 minutes and she bruised my hand all up. It was fun but even funner to show everyone the bruises today!! (I get enjoyment out of the dumbest things).
So we had an American Idol party last night at Teri's house since we're such avid watchers of the show. We watch it every week and all guess who we think is going to go home. The whole time I was shooting for David Archuleta and was completely bummed he didn't win but I think David Cook was an amazing singer too. We watched the whole two hours of some good singers, some ok singers and some amazing singers. What was up with Michael George??? His song wasn't very good.

So why is it that the finale has to be a whole 2 hours long? It's probably the most awaited show ever and people wait until the last five minutes to watch it because that's when they do the results. Anyways, it will still always be my favorite show to watch every year especially when they are all auditioning and there's awful singers on there. Did you hear that SLC will be one of the audition cities next year??? Maybe I should try out....or not. I would be one of the people other people laugh at!!!


This is Teri and Becky. My bestest friends at work!! They are some of the best people and we always are laughing at each other. What's work without people you can laugh at and laugh with??? I love these guys!!! What's life without friends that you can have fun with??? Anyways, I'm sure I blubbered on and on but I had a ton of fun at the American Idol party and hope to continue the tradition.

Trip to Utah

So I'm so excited to be going to Utah on Friday!!!!! We leave Friday morning and come home Tuesday night. I am sad because one of my brothers will be down at Lake Powell and my sister will be in Richfield with her in-laws so I will miss them (or I'll see them very briefly on Monday) but I'm so excited to see the rest of my family!!!! I had a niece, Ella, born in December and so I will get the opportunity to meet her and spend time with the rest of my nieces and nephews and grandparents! It will be a good trip. We're hoping that it won't be as stressful as all of our other vacations where we have something planned every day. We're just taking it day by day and see what comes up. We're hoping to be able to play volleyball (well I'm hoping) on Sunday at our family bbq but my mom said it's suspose to rain all weekend! Pray that it doesn't rain. I am just so excited. It has been since Thanksgiving since I've seen my family and since last February since Robbie's seen them so it will be a good visit!!! Just had to post about it because I'm so excited and had to share the news with everyone!!!!!!!

How long have we been together? I would say like September of 05, we got married June 2, 06 so 2 1/2 years

How long did we date? We met January of 05, started talking on the phone and email in April of 05 and then I moved to Texas in September and he proposed Christmas day!! and we got married 6 months later in June, so like a year maybe??

Who eats more? If it's sweets it's definitely me, anything else I'd say we are probably equal.

So Cassie has found a new place to hang out. As soon as she sees that brown blanket come out she knows that she has a spot up on the couch. She doesn't let us get in the way at all. The other day she laid completely against my face so I couldn't watch tv at all. She just is a spoiled girl and pretty much gets whatever she wants. On Sunday we decided to play a game with her. I took her into our bedroom and Robbie laid out all of her toys on the ground and we took her out and we let her decide what she wanted to play with. She sniffed every toy and stopped at her green tennis ball and took it to the door and sat down because she knew that meant that she would get to play fetch. She loves the game of fetch and never gets tired of it. It's hilarious to watch her catch a fly ball. She is very mischievous and tries to get away with whatever she can. The only problem that we have is that she loves to say hello to people by jumping up on them and licking them and not everyone likes that. Hopefully she'll grow out of it!!!!

I made a cake for a friend's daughter for a church cake auction to help raise money for their summer camp. I thought it turned out pretty good. The rose is dusted with some gold luster but you can't really tell. Dani helped out a lot. She did some of the piping on the bottom of the cake and did all of the side of the cake. Teri told me that the cake went for $30 which was pretty good. Anything to help a good cause right???

So I made some cookies for some nurses to say thank you and thought that I would show them off. I thought they turned out pretty cute...hopefully just as good too. Tell me what you think. I made some chocolate chip cookies as well and they turned out awesome. I'm just bummed I can't take them to work to brag about how good they are because nobody will eat them because we're all on the biggest loser thing.
As to date the whole office has lost 87 in half pounds in the last 2 weeks. Isn't that pretty amazing???? I haven't done as well but at least I am still losing. I've found these packets of flavor that you put in your water that helps you drink more water and I'm addicted. They are so good and I think it really does help me drink more water. I am struggling with no sweets but I think I've done pretty good (I did have to try one of the chocolate chip cookies to make sure they were ok to give away).
